The Craziness
So basically a lot has happened since I wrote last. um...... lets see, I turned 18! I then proceeded to go to California yet again, (check the next post for pics!) but this time with my ballroom team. I spent a week with our cousin Rick (he came down for spring break) and had a blast hanging out with him. Sometime last week I got all registered for my classes for the fall semester at UVU and I'm pumped! I got an award because apparently I'm outstanding... who knew! Oh I got a solo in A Capella for the song Regina Ceoli which I am way excited about! If you want to hear it, its going to be good, and I'd love to see you there, its on Thursday May 8th at 7:30. We performed it and two other songs at region just last Wednesday and lets just say it was very nerve racking. I attribute our ability to get through the song without any major problems to the fact that the four soloists said a prayer before we went on! We got straight superiors and thus qualified to go to state! I finally finished Biology, I took my test last Thursday and only missed two of the questions which gives me a good grade in the class and the knowledge that I will never have to worry about Mrs. Darlene Bell ever again! Currently I'm in the process of getting the basement ready for me to move down there! I'm extremely excited! I am going to make it look so cute down there :D Besides all of that stuff I am getting ready for AP tests and preparing to graduate! Senior Ball is this coming Friday, Kathy is making my dress for me (thankyou Kathy!) and I'm so exciting because I'm going to look like a princess.... not to mention a total babe! ;) So there is a lot to look forward to and get ready for right here happening in the very near future! Its a busy time, it could cause a girl to go crazy. Lucky for me I'm already insane so it works out quite nicely!

Nationals!
So this was my very last competition ever, unless my plans change, and I'm pretty excited about how it all went down! In samba rumba I competed with my friend Eric Perry and we got called back, only once, but still, I thought it was exciting because I never get called back and this was at nationals competing against tonz and tonz of dancers and only half were chosen to dance again! Team match didn't go over so hot but I'm aight with that because I just had fun being able to dance in it! I danced American Waltz with Stephen Clawson and it was wicked fun! To start the dance I blew him a kiss, thank you coaches Adam and Jeanne, and then we just waltzed all around the dance floor with our teammates cheering us on and bowing down to us when we would dance past! The most exciting part of it all and the whole reason I went to nationals was for Our standard medley! Last year we were fourth place in division two, which is not very good, but this year we moved all the way up to fourth place in division one!! Which is very excellent indeed! I've had so much fun this year working on that dance! Its wicked hard and fast but so much fun and our hair and makeup were so much cooler than anyone elses and you can't beat lime green standard dresses! This was definitely an exciting event and I will miss the thrill of competing but there is no way I will ever stop dancing!

Just Some Thoughts
With President Hinckely's Funeral being today I decided that maybe I should record some of my thoughts that I have had in the last week. When I first heard about his passing I was in shock, I was not sad because when someone who is that good dies it is not a sad thing. On Monday at school the majority of the students were dressed up in respect for him but because I do not get text I didn't know about it. I felt really out of place, but when thinking about it, the best way I can respect him is to live what he taught! My favorite quote comes from him and he says "Rise to the Stature of the Divine within you!" I think that is amazing, and I know that is what I need to do. That is how I can thank him and my Heavenly Father for what he has done for me! I didn't cry until The very end of the Funeral today, I don't think it hit me until then that he was really on the other side of the veil. They weren't sad tears, they were more tears of missing and maybe of joy that he can now be reunited with his wife. I am so thankful for the opportunity I had to grow up while he was Prophet of the Church. President Gordon B. Hinckley was an amazing man and I hope that I can live his teachings by coming closer to my Heavenly Father and to my Brother Jesus Christ.
