Just Some Thoughts

With President Hinckely's Funeral being today I decided that maybe I should record some of my thoughts that I have had in the last week. When I first heard about his passing I was in shock, I was not sad because when someone who is that good dies it is not a sad thing. On Monday at school the majority of the students were dressed up in respect for him but because I do not get text I didn't know about it. I felt really out of place, but when thinking about it, the best way I can respect him is to live what he taught! My favorite quote comes from him and he says "Rise to the Stature of the Divine within you!" I think that is amazing, and I know that is what I need to do. That is how I can thank him and my Heavenly Father for what he has done for me! I didn't cry until The very end of the Funeral today, I don't think it hit me until then that he was really on the other side of the veil. They weren't sad tears, they were more tears of missing and maybe of joy that he can now be reunited with his wife. I am so thankful for the opportunity I had to grow up while he was Prophet of the Church. President Gordon B. Hinckley was an amazing man and I hope that I can live his teachings by coming closer to my Heavenly Father and to my Brother Jesus Christ.
